Restaurant Muru was founded by a group of good friends in 2010 with a purpose to create a great workplace for themselves and the best restaurant for their friends. Muru has become an absolute classic in Helsinki over the years. Muru is known for it’s great food, amazing wines and uncompromaising customer service.

Muru’s owners and founders Henri Alén, Timo Linnamäki and Samuil Angelov design the menu together daily with our head chef Karoliina Narkinniemi and figure out together with our restaurant manager Maiju Rintala how can we suprise our guests each night.

May the wine be afforable or more on the expensive side it has to represent something and be well-defined. The wines found in our wine list are usually from unique producers whose workmanship are seen in the final product. Many of the wines are available by glass so that you have the opportunity to try-out different wines during you evening. Our cooled roof cellar conceals hundreds of different wines with the main focus in the old wine world. 

In our Wine Bar you can stop by for a glass and enjoy cheeses or our charcuteries. If your in need of speciality wines, ask for our Black Book. Wine Spectator has noted Muru’s wine list with the Best of Award of Excellance every year from 2017 onwards.
